BLACKSTONE VALLEY REGIONAL CAREER FAIR
Thursday April 3, 2008
8:30AM to 11:45AM
Northbridge High School
427 Linwood Avenue Whitinsville MA 01588
The Blackstone Valley Chamber of
Commerce Education Foundation announces the
annual sophomore career fair for member
high schools. The event will be held on Thursday April 3 from 8:30AM
until 11:45AM. Northbridge High School is our gracious host for this
event and will provide student guides to assist visiting students.
Based on the results of a personal
interest survey, students will be directed to 16 career clusters set up in
the Field House. Each cluster will have several jobs represented to
demonstrate the range of opportunities within a given career area.
Over the course of the morning, 1000
students from 9 Blackstone Valley High Schools will have the opportunity to
talk with more than 60 career representatives about their jobs and other
positions available in their company, the education and training required
for these positions, salary ranges, and the outlook for these jobs in the
future.
Students will also hear two panel
presentations in the theatre. Business people will discuss careers in
Finance, Health, Communications, and Arts. College advising center staff
will talk about habits students can develop now that can cement their early
success in higher education or a career.
Parents will be invited to attend the
panel presentation from 10:15 to 11:00AM. Our host guides will greet and
escort them to the Theatre.
