FALL/WINTER SCHEDULE East BLACKSTONE
QUAKER MEETING HOUSE ANNOUNCED

The East Blackstone Quaker Meeting House & Cemetery
Historical Association, Inc announces its Fall/Winter schedule of events
taking place at the historic Meeting House located at 197 Elm Street,
Blackstone.
Sunday, September 30th an Ecumenical Service will be held
from 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. with Father Conrad Pecevich of St Paul’s Church in
Blackstone serving as guest pastor. The same date a Dine-Out Fundraiser will
be held at the new Roast House located at 3 Farm Street in Blackstone. All
proceed will benefit the ongoing preservation work on the Meeting House and
cemetery.
Columbus Day Weekend, October 6 - 9, the Association will
once again be participating in the Footsteps in History Weekend sponsored by
the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council. Open House at the Meeting House will
be on Saturday, October 6 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Members will be on hand
to give a history of the Meeting House.
Sunday, November 18 – a traditional Thanksgiving Ecumenical
Service will be held with the Reverend Leigh Dry of Grace United Methodist
Church in Hopkinton, Massachusetts serving as guest pastor. The service will
commence at 2 p.m.
Friday evening,
December 14th the Association will hold its annual Christmas Caroling
service at the Meeting House. Lanterns and the wood stove will be lit for
this event.
