Sam Slater changed the way the new colonies did business in 1793 when he re-created the Arkwright system that he learned about in England in this Pawtucket mill. Its sits aside the beautiful granite Wilkinson Mill, the Sylvanus Brown house and across from the northern R.I. Visitor center, 175 Main Street, Pawtucket.
