People with Arthritis Can Exercise
The Grafton Senior Center, 30 Providence Road, is pleased to offer a new
exercise program through the Arthritis Association for people of ANY AGE.
This class is offered Thursday mornings at 9:00 am. Cost is $3.00/per
person. Call 508.839.9242 to sign up.

HEALTH PLAN OPTIONS FOR SENIORS will be offered at the Senior Center on
Thursday, October 7,2004 at 10:00 am. Learn about Medicare, Medigap,
Prescription Advantage, and Medicare HMOs. Call 508.839.9242 to sign up
and consider a reservation for lunch, 24 hour notice required for lunch.

The Registry of Motor Vehicles will be at the Senior Center, 30 Providence
Road, on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 10:00 am to present a talk about changes to
our bodies as we age that affect driving. Call 508.839. 9242 to sign up
and consider a reservation for lunch. 24 hour notice required for lunch.
Menu is slated to be salmon boat. Transportation provided.

Representative George Peterson will be at the Senior Center on Thursday,
Oct. 14th, at 9:00 am for office hours.

FUEL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Applications for fuel assistance are being taken at the Senior Center for any eligible Grafton household. To qualify, your household income can not exceed the following gross income limits: 1 person $16,700: 2 people $22,500. Call for further info at 839-9242.

TEENAGERS NEEDED

The Grafton Council of Aging is looking for teenagers interested in shoveling snow for Seniors. We will try to assign teens in their neighborhood, if possible. Call George Fougere on Tuesday or Thursday mornings or stop by and pick up an application at the Senior Center before 4:30 weekdays.

Other

Forest Lane, North Grafton, part of the Grafton Housing Authority invites you to join them every Monday and Thursday for Bingo at 5:45 or Whist every Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. All are invited.

Green Acres, in South Grafton invites all every Tuesday at 12:45 at the Community House for Bingo. Whist party is held every first Saturday of the month in the hall at 7 p.m.

News:  Senior Center Official Opening        Dedication of Bolack Room 

The Selectmen unanimously voted to honor 102 year old Elizabeth Williams of Pleasant Street with a 3/30/03 Day of Recognition to celebrate her 103rd birthday! The Grafton Senior Center will be hosting a noontime celebratory luncheon on March 27th in tribute to Ms. Williams. Sixty are expected for the luncheon and the event tickets cost $3. with $2 going towards the lunch. All are invited, but reservations must be called in to Senior Center Director Michelle Hatch at 839-9242. 

Ms. Williams was recently highlighted in the Worcester Telegram for riding a horse, a wish she had held for many years and finally enacted! Ms. Williams holds the honor of Grafton's oldest resident and we all wish her good health and much happiness for many years to come!
