Supporters of Preserve UMass:
Many of you have asked what you can do
individually to assist Preserve UMass achieve its goals of
putting a hold on the destruction of historic buildings on
the UMass Amherst campus and having an independent
professional assessment of the historic and architecturally
significant buildings as a basis for deciding the future of
these structures.
The Steering Committee, myself, Professor Max
Page, Professor Emeritus Arnold Friedman, and Ms. Ruth Owen
Jones (former Chair of the Amherst Historical Commission),
encourage you to write a letter or send an e-mail of support
for our nomination of the Amherst campus to the 2007 List of
the Ten Most Endangered Historic Resources of the
