SECOND ANNUAL CHIPMUNK 5K FOR ALS MARCH 1

Daniel Rogers and Patrick Riley, juniors at Nipmuc Regional High School, are co-directing the Second Annual Chipmunk 5K for ALS Saturday, March 8, 2008. All entry fees of $10 (made payable to the Angel Fund and are 100% tax deductible) per runner/walker will be donated to The Angel Fund (theangelfund.org), researching a cure for ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). The 3.1-mile, accurately wheel-measured, USATF New England-sanctioned race begins and ends at Nipmuc Regional High School in Upton.  Last year's inaugural event raised nearly $4,000 from 154 participants from four states, and featured great weather, t-shirts, refreshments, awards, and the raffling of a pair of Red Sox tickets!  The race begins at 10 a.m., with registration at 9 a.m.
Runners, volunteers, and donations for race costs (made payable to Nipmuc Regional High School and are 100% tax deductible) are needed. Local sponsors already include Milford Federal Savings & Loan Association, Upton Auto & Truck, Phipps Insurance Agency, and MetroWest Mortgage Group Inc. For more information, or a race application, please contact  Daniel (508) 529-4437, or dsrogers123@charter.net. Thank you!
