Gallery Night occurs on the third Thursday of every month in the attractive city of Providence. An ArTrolley delivers riders free to up to 17 art galleries throughout the charming city of Providence. Park your car at the rear of Citizen's Plaza for free, then walk to the front to catch the trolley. Check out the wide variety of galleries and enjoy a wonderful experience!
Another standout attraction that has developed over the last few years is Waterfire, a collaboration of water sculpture, music and fire displays that starts on May 3 this season. Various sponsors will utilize different music styles over the course of nine regular programs and two shortened programs entertaining thousands of delighted guests.
Perhaps the benchmark of the Blackstone Valley canal history can be traced to Samuel Slater who brought the cotton gin and industrialization to this region. Visit the Slater Mills in Pawtucket or enjoy folk or acoustic music at the Stone Soup Coffee House with its weekly schedule.
