Blessed Are They from Uxbridge /  Brother Harry from Millbury /Local Worship

Common threads permeate our varied lives throughout the Blackstone Valley communities. Yet, we as individuals, often face our private life trials alone and must replenish our souls with uplifting experiences - through thought, word or deed.

Also, there are external factors that can forever change the paradigm of life- for an individual, community or far beyond. A tragic accident resulting in unbearable loss for family and friends, a frightening diagnosis, a company layoff, achieving an unexpected success, a new baby, steadfast beliefs on volatile moral issues or  universal issues such as starvation, racism, war that cry out to us.

The SOUL searcher welcomes insights on issues that touch your heart and soul. Remembrances of a simple smile that embraced your soul on a difficult day, passages to help fortify your faith, a touching poem, an inspiring lesson or teacher. What act of faith, blessing, truth, friend or even tragedy has touched you or your community to the core?  What moment stands out in your life as capturing the true essence of life?

We welcome thoughts from clergy or educators, spiritualists, lay persons or even non-believers to develop a better understanding of our inner selves as we walk towards the future together - as individuals and as an interwoven community. Remember, we are all anonymous here, yet we share many commonalities. Also, please enjoy the many links below which offer teachings, poems, philosophies, spiritual insight, ethical concerns and opportunities to make a difference.

Any man's death diminishes me because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom     the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

No man is an island, entire of itself: every man is a piece of the continent, the part of the main.                                             Excerpts  from  John  Donne
