The Child Care Center in Northbridge Provides Items from “Wish List” to the Whitin Community Center’s Rockdale Youth Center

Charles Thompson, Whitin Community Center (WCC) Executive Director, announced that the The Child Care Center at Beaumont has generously donated items to the WCC Rockdale Youth Center.  Items included a vacuum, arts and crafts supplies, cooking utensils, and a home theater system.

According to Brett MacGowan, WCC Assistant Director and Outreach Program Director, “People and the businesses in the community ask us what we need at the Youth Center.  Last winter, we created a “Wish List” of items that would be useful to us.  The Child Care Center has been a great friend to the Youth Center in providing gifts from that list.”

Melissa Patterson, Director of The Child Care Center, states, “The Child Care Center is interested in helping our neighbors.  One of our goals is to have the children at our facility get involved in giving programs throughout the year.  The Rockdale Youth Center is a neighbor who provides such a valuable service to the community.  They provide a safe haven for children to go after school and do their homework.  We wanted to give them items that they needed.  We hope to make this an annual tradition.”
