October Worship Schedule, UUSGU, Sundays at 10:00

October 7:  “Really Human Being” It’s hard, as Pinocchio learned, to become fully and truly human. There are lessons in the story of the wooden puppet who wanted to become a boy on how we may become most fully, truly and happily. Rev. Eliza Blanchard preaching.

October 14: “Faces of those around you” Lay sermon led by Wendy Rowland.

*October 21: “Greater Than the Sum” Most of us want to belong—at work and at home as well as in our social lives. In our culture fitting in and maintaining our individuality pose a challenge. Membership in a liberal religious community adds to that challenge as we try to reflect and act on our deepest personal values while achieving a consensus and working as one. Is there a resolution to this dilemma? Come find out. We will welcome our new members today. Rev. Eliza Blanchard preaching.

October 28: “Remembrance: Honoring Our Ancestors” Today’s service will focus on the ancient meanings of autumn celebrated by earth-based faiths. We will create an altar of remembrance, so bring objects that evoke fond memories of loved ones. Members of Earthcircle and Rev. Eliza Blanchard
