Uxbridge, found in 1727, was home to strong Quaker influence and an Indian Praying Village. It is also home to America's first woman voter, Lydia Taft.

Congratulations to the following Boy Scouts of
St. Mary's and Good Shepherd Parish who recently completed their Ad Altare Dei (to the altar of God) emblem program. The scouts received their emblems from Fr. Jack Kelley of St. Mary's on May 20, 2007. The boys are residents of Uxbridge and attend Whitin Middle and Blackstone Valley Tech.
